September 2021 was a huge month for Ashley Ammons Photography! I had the opportunity to host my very first workshop for family photographers! It was held on the beautiful beaches of Pensacola, Florida! As a beach fanatic, I could not think of a better location!

Although I have been coaching photographers and creating quite a few COURSES, I was still so nervous! I think that whenever you are putting yourself in that type of situation, imposter syndrome always seems to creep in! I knew that I wanted to help family photographers learn through hands-on situations, though! This meant that it needed to be in person, and I needed to be ready to teach!

So many memories were made, but I think my favorite part was the guided family session! A guided family session is where I was there helping with where to pose people and set up their family for games or prompts. We talked about different angles and how to set our families up for the best lighting situation! Each in the group was able to take pictures while implementing each of the skills they just learned!

Something that I really wanted to include in the workshop was the ability for everyone who attended to get updated headshots! When you take part in something like this, you often come back to your business ready to make changes, and it was super important to me to give them headshots to really elevate their business! We all headed to the beach and took turns taking headshots for each other, and I couldn’t have asked for anything more perfect!
